alpacas.

mini golfing with nick and gina tonight was vair vair amusant times.

i learned that three nickels and a penny doesnt make 19 cents.

i cant believe i'm moving a week from tomorrow.

it still seems unreal.

should be fun though.

hah i love the goo goo dolls.

"It's better to have a pocket full of regrets than to never have lived." -John Rzeznik

"What moved me most about the film was how it presented a metaphor of the defenses we develop to protect ourselves and how taking a leap or risk is so important to really live...to really be alive" — John Rzeznik [on City of Angels]

^ i'll have to see that now. and tresure planet. apparently he wrote and performed a song for it. i still have to see transformers too.

"It's all entertainment. It's like watching a fuckin' movie. Everybody is floating around in their own vapor. I find it amusing." — John talking about the Grammy's

"I was really glad we got to do something like that -- I grew up watching Sesame Street. I got to meet Grover. He was always my favorite. You get so sucked into them. They are so alive and so real that you forget that there's a large man with his hand up the butt of this puppet."

ahah

ended up going to the diner tonight with my sister and my cousin.
what else is new
haha they are such boobs, i love them.

kevin and i went into the bathroom together cause we're weird or something idk and there were straws in there which made us laugh because of that video we made where he was liek .. "you just take one of them straws there and stick it up!" mannnn.

em and kev said that i'm birdy. i dont know why. but emily is elfy and kevin is pointy so i guess its okay., apparently michelle is pitching mound? whatever that means. em is so elfy, in fact, that she had to be told to "put her elf in a box". maybe to ship off to santa via north pole express.

hm. me and kevin wasted like 5 bucks buying tiny beach balls that we were blowing up and throwing around in front of the diner. oh welllll, at least he asked first. ("steph, can we waste your money?") so we did. ..beach party with no sand "dont pop my balls" "thats disgusting!"

he BUMPed me .. i have to go with gina and michelle and colleen to see hairspray tomorrow because of zac efron and the dirty references and michelle's screaming in movie theaters.

em bit into a pickle and pickle juice went all over the place. whatever, she likes girls.

then we were talkin about how i ran over a raccoon the other night in my dad's car for some reason so my uncle had to tell me a story about he unintentionally licked a dead rat.

thats my family in a nutshell

kevin had to tell me a lot of stuff about fat people too.
some girl was like dancing around amongst little boy underwear in the store singing "i'm like the wind"

i also had to go to his house with him after dinner to play wii.

then i had to go pick up michelle from work at 9 and she was like OMG the end

but not really

cause then we toasted quesadillas in her toaster and she bit into it but really she ate part of a paper towel

and then emily walked into the kitchen and michelle said : "wow em, you actually look feminine today."

now it's the end.

oh but p.s.: jimmy suck my balls is freaking jacked. he weighs over 200 pounds because he put up so much muscle

kiss it you gay fag.

oh AND church this morning. alan - "oh, you were gonna end it?"
best line all year.

dorkk

Top 5 things flutists do when they're bored:
1. blow through your flute with all the holes closed and pretend you're darth vader
2. try to figure out a trill fingering for C4 to D4 ... bonus points if you use a piccolo
3. play your flute into a box fan
4. finger low D on a piccolo, cover the hole with your pinky, then suck all the air out. take all your fingers off except your pinky ... the keys stay down! (well, now you're stuck with a piccolo attached to your tongue - press the Ab key to open the vacuum)
5. find the most beautiful song you can and add three flats

Top ten reasons to play flute:
10. Low maintenance - no reeds, valve oil, etc
9. Can easily overpower any other woodwind
8. Extremely portable - can be slipped in a backpack, in your pocket, or through a needle's eye
7. Quick disassemble for fast exits
6. You can pretend to play and no one will know the difference
5. Learning to transpose trumpet music
4. With practice, makes a great blowgun
3. NO SPIT
2. Lightweight
1. High pitched notes drive animals nuts

Five reasons not to:
5. Getting yelled at for playing too loud
4. Composers expect you to be able to play the quicket, most complicated runs just by virtue of being a flutist
3. Goes out of tune in record time
2. Being barred from jazz band
1. People expect you to be a ditz.

finally something to do.

so i went to salsa last night with michelle and jennie to visit chelle and cheryl had a few days she needed coverage for and i need money so i'm gonna work thursday the 26th. woooo i can probably make about 40 bucks that night lol better than the nothing i make now. whatevs. i also went to get a new flute yesterday and ended up bring home two - a miyazawa and a muramatsu. i'm going back after my road test on friday after i decide which one i want, even though i'm pretty sure i'm gonna end up keeping the miyazawa. i really really hope i pass my road test - i practiced parallel parking the other day and kept hitting the curb but i think i got it down now. urg i'm keeping my fingers crossed. anywho, i finally wasnt cooped up in the house today. went to church with dad and grandparents this morning. went up into the choir loft to see some people after and gary said theyre not rehearsing this week but i can come next sunday since theyll just be winging it basically so i'll show up..me and my new flute :) hehe i'm also playing at open mic at cool beanz on tuesday so i'm gonna play the miyazawa there and see how that goes. so after church, i drove home and did a parallel park and it was good, little close to the curb but i didnt hit. then grandma and grandpa came over to see/hear the new flutes and then i went food shopping with mom and emily. except emily and i went to starbucks first then wandered around smithtown a little and ended up at ben and jerry's lol i have to go take max for a walk with em now and maybe go in the pool after even though i just straightened my hair this morning. i dunno. i'm rambling. i'm bored. i'm leaving.

this is getting ridiculous.

mary wash said they would post up roommate assignments on july 9th.

then on july 8th, that got changed to "after july 10th"

then on july 10th, the website changed to say "we anticipate them being posted late on july 11th, sorry for the delay!"

i think that july 11th at 11:37pm qualifies as "late on july 11th", do you not?

but alas, nothing has been posted.

in even sadder news, they did say that only 42% of people that requested the residence hall that i requested actually got in. wonderful.

in addition, many people were "temporarily" stuck into triples and may or may not have the option of moving into a double as rooms become (or do not become) available.

in sadder sad news, i did nothing today but watch basically the entire season of top chef.

which is okay, because the rest of this past week has been utterly and completely fabbity fab fab!

...and in even saddest news, i went through my buddy list and deleted people that i dont talk to anymore, and i am now left with 28 buddies.

9 of which are my cousin kevin...stupid boob

and 5 of which are there for (very very important) stalking purposes.

sacre bloody bleu and triple merde.

i hate waiting.

"i'm figuring out what i need to do to get my music heard and have an outlet for all the songs i have in my head. lately i feel my music screaming to jump out of my skin. i have spent plenty of time flourishing my art without business. but i feel blessed that i live in a time where i can get really good and give myself to something i feel passionate about. making music is a necessity, an urge that needs to be released. i know that the need to make music and 'get it out there' is physical and you will find your needle in the haystack...its a long way to tipperary."

balls.

so today i was told by an old friend that my balls are a bit rounder. a certain ball got wet and we had to leave it out to dry. we also had the experience of headbanging and chesting balls. but my frisbee skills are much better.

in other news, my assigned slot to register for classes is between 7/19 at 8am and 7/20 at 5pm. which sucks. i hope i remember.

only two more days until i get my stitches out. i just wish i could play my fluuuute again. it was so different sitting down in the actual church today instead of being up in the choir loft. werd.
